Special Days

Our campers look forward to NBA Day, NFL Day, World Cup, US Open Day, and more all summer! These special sports days are made up of camp-wide full-day tournaments in a particular sport. Awards are given for boys who show Winadu character during these events and provide an opportunity to build self-esteem and confidence.

Lazy Friday

Lazy Friday takes place every Friday morning. We open all program areas and campers are free to choose whatever activity they want. A special part of this morning is that big brothers meet their little brothers at their bunks, bring them to breakfast, and spend the entire morning with them participating in the activities of their choice.

Carnival

One of everyone’s favorite days of the summer is Carnival. Winadu’s fun, old school Carnival features snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, fried dough, plus traditional games like “Test Your Strength”, “Dunk the Counselor” and taking a swing at the “Eephus Pitch.”

Zork Day

Every summer, at the end of parents’ visiting weekend, our younger campers participate in a big shaving cream fight known as “Zork Day.” It’s the perfect way to get back into the swing of camp.
