Camp Winadu Sports - Ice Hockey

Winadu has one of the finest summer ice hockey programs anywhere.
TOP COACHES: Bill Kangas, head coach of the Williams College team, directs the program. Special guest coaches have included Mike Gilligan, head coach of the University of Vermont, Dan Houck, skill development coach at Hockey Dynamics and Total Hockey, and many other professional coaches and college players.
TOP INSTRUCTION: The level of instruction far exceeds that provided in traditional winter recreation programs. Campers don't just maintain their skills, they improve them! The program focuses on key skills -- Power and speed skating, -- Stick handling -- shooting, scoring -- Offense /defense, transition and team play -- Goal tending. Extra on-ice training in a chosen specialty is also provided.
TOP FACILITY: Campers participate in 12, two hour sessions over the course of four weeks at the Veteran's Memorial Rink in North Adams, Massachusetts, only 25 minutes from camp.
"The Winadu hockey program provided everything we could have hoped for. Coach Kangas has provided our son with outstanding instruction and insight into the game that he doesn't get during the school year."
