Winadu Summer Camp Facilities
Camp Winadu's physical plant is a sports facility unlike any other in the camping
world. Campers and staff enjoy 85 acres of spacious courts, fields, pool, lake,
rinks and more.
Athletics:
- Baseball: Seven baseball fields - 2 major league, 4 little league and "Little Fenway"
with its very own Green Monster wall. All of our baseball fields use the same
"Partac Peat" red clay that all major league teams use. We also have
four batting cages, 2 pitching machines and two regulation pitcher's mounds.
- Basketball: Eight basketball courts all equipped with glass backboards.
Our Winadome indoor facility is one of the finest in camping, with a high school
regulation court, electronic scoreboard, 6 glass backboards and a special
rubberized playing surface. We also have a special "shooters" court with
10 baskets for shooting practice and coaching and the use of six indoor gyms on rainy days.
- Soccer: Four regulation soccer fields.
- Lacrosse: One regulation lacrosse field.
- Tennis: Fourteen tennis courts.
- Golf: Mini Golf.
- Roller Hockey: One NHL size roller hockey rink.
- Volleyball: Five beach volleyball courts.
- Strength and Conditioning: 2,000 square foot strength and conditioning center,
complete with free weights, benches
- Extreme Sports Center: Half pipe, quarter pipe, pyramid "fun box," and roll ins.
Lakefront and Pool:
An extensive waterfront and dock system on Lake Onota including:
- 4 Malibu competition ski boats
- 6 lazer sailboats
- 12 Sunfish
- Over 20 canoes, kayaks, playaks and row boats
- 5,000 square foot pool with two fantastic water slides
- 50 x 75 State of the art heated swimming pool
Adventure:
- 30 foot "Vertical Reality" climbing wall
- 24 Mountain Bikes
- Adjacent public forest for hiking and camping
Arts & Hobbies:
- Rocketry Workshop
- Arts & Crafts Center
- 400 seat theater
