Corbin's Crusaders

Peter and Wendy Corbin started Corbin’s Crusaders in 1996 with a director and staff dedicated to helping New York City children grow through sports. Thousands of children have come to the After School Program and the Summer Day Camp. As they continue to expand, they remain a family organization striving to help each child reach his or her potential on and off the playing field.

Corbin’s Crusaders uses sports to enhance your child’s potential and encourage all children to develop into confident players regardless of their skill level.

NYC Phoenix Basketball

NYC Phoenix was founded in 2009 by Camp Winadu Director, Mark Benerofe, and JCC Manhattan Athletic Director, Duane Castleberry.  Our motto is “For the Love of Hoops.” Everything we do is designed to share our passion for basketball with kids.  Our mission is to inspire young basketball players to reach their highest potential by teaching them the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive, and energized atmosphere.

NYC Phoenix is a premier after school and weekend basketball program for boys and girls grades K-8. Our highly qualified and experienced coaches are dedicated to expanding players’ skills and enjoyment of the game.  NYC Phoenix offers a variety of programs including league and tournament play, clinics and our Friday Night Phoenix program – which features fun games, skills competitions and prizes.

NYC Phoenix coaches have a wide range of playing and coaching experiences that allows our players to consistently improve.  What sets us apart from many other programs is our emphasis on the enjoyment of the game.  It is not enough for us to help kids improve their abilities.   Our goal is for them to love the game as we do… “For the Love of Hoops.”

The Montana Tennis Academy, established in 1982, is perhaps Miami's oldest and most respected tennis training center, having developed more world-class, national and state- ranked players during the last 28 years than any other South Florida tennis institution.  Why? Quite likely it is because our toddlers and novice players not only play alongside national junior champions and touring profesionals,  they also learn by example (from both players and coaches)  the qualities and personal attributes required for success and personal fulfillment."

It is a given that quality programs entail superior coaching, first-rate facilities and the ability to make learning interesting and fun. We believe that when your child learns tennis, this is what the game can teach: resourcefulness, initiative, creativity, self-esteem, self-confidence, discipline and courtesy. These are the very things that should be taught in academia but seldom are. These are some of the attributes we try to instill. Perhaps that helps explain why our players remain with us for years and years.
