Our Philosophy

Our Sports Camp Philosophy

 |
At Winadu, we live by some very simple rules and goals.
We have three goals for every camper:
- To have fun
- To always try his best
- To be a good sport
We have one rule for our coaches:
- To teach every camper that it's OK to make a mistake to have tried and failed is much
better than to not have tried at all.

What You Should Know About Winadu

There are many myths about Winadu. Here are the facts:
At Winadu, WE TEACH ONLY THROUGH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT. We stress the importance of praise to all of our
coaches. Every boy, regardless of ability, receives a trophy at the end of the summer. We never have and never
will require any boy to run a lap, do a push up or accept or endure any other form of punishment.
A boy who is less skilled is never ridiculed at Winadu. We will not allow it. We teach our campers that the
most important thing way more important than winning is to help and encourage teammates and fellow campers.
A camper who is a beginner or who is struggling to master an activity will receive tremendous support and
encouragement at Winadu.
 |
Boys of all abilities who
love sports attend Winadu. Some are very athletic. Some are not. We have many
exceptional athletes. And we have many average and novice athletes as well.
|
 |
Boys of all athletic abilities return
year after year because we make sports fun and because we have the best
skill instruction around, so that they improve and become better athletes and
more importantly better people.
